Well the good news is that there is no separate cell phone do not call list. Singapore Mobile Database Cellular numbers are automatically included in the National Do Not Call Registry. So when you register your home phone number be sure to register your cell number too.
Within 31 days just about all telemarketing calls should come to an end. Telemarketers are required to search the national registry every 31 days and delete from their call lists any phone numbers that are listed in the registry. There are a few exceptions though (aren’t there always).
Calls from political organizations, charities, and telephone surveyors do not fall under the jurisdiction of the FTC or FCC so they are still allowed. That means you may still receive calls requesting donations to the PBA or asking you to vote for a certain candidate near election time. But the random telemarketer calls offering to sell you something should come to an end.
